Marry My Husband

I'm begging you to watch this madcap supernatural time-travel revenge drama about a woman's quest to trick her evil husband and best friend into marrying each other. I saw the Japanese version last November and it was a really good, manic high. I got about half way through the Korean/original version of the show before fatigue finally started to set in, but I plan to finish it, in time, because there are some differences that make it interesting.
The title grabbed me, I guess. I was on Prime video perusing recommendations for twenty-something minutes and I saw this juicy title and this thumbnail for what looks like a Japanese romance drama--which it is, of course, just look at the immaculate makeup and clothing--and I was too curious to put it in watchlist purgatory.
This show shares some DNA with the daytime soap opera in its romantic intrigue, scheming men and women, and melodramatic flourish. I don't want to reveal much of the plot, but the set up has to do with a beleaguered, terminally ill woman named Misa who walks in on her husband in bed with her best friend while plotting to defraud her life insurance policy. At the same time. Then they throw her off the balcony. To make matters worse, and disregarding the whole stomach cancer issue, her life is just generally a mess; her career is going nowhere, her friends think she's lame, and she has no style. Poor Misa! Also, her dad is dead (this is important).
You may be delighted to find that fate intervenes and takes Misa ten years before her unfortunate accident. It's a very Mr. Destiny/It's a Wonderful Life/the Twilight Zone/Back to the Future situation Misa finds herself in, with its own perplexing rules about "canon events" and the space-time continuum. She will have to navigate this while plotting her revenge, getting her career on track, and going on Hallmark Movie style work related outings with her hunky, rich boss. Luckily, she has the advantage of ten years of hindsight/foresight(?), and she stops letting her evil best friend sabotage her, so she's almost immediately hot, popular, and successful.

This is cheesy good fun, and I cannot emphasize enough how nutty it is. Check it out.
